Darmin Will Give Fines to Entrepreneurs who Are Late in Producing Palm Oil
faktual indonesia. Jakarta, Coordinating Minister for the Economy Darmin Nasution said he would crack down on biofuel entrepreneurs who were late in producing palm oil (fatty acid methyl ether / FAME) for the B20 Program which is currently being carried out by the government. It will impose sanctions in the form of fines for them.
Strict sanctions were imposed regarding complaints from PT Pertamina (Persero) which conveyed the lack of supply of palm oil to run the B20 Program. Darmin said that he would immediately hold a meeting to formulate the sanctions and the mechanism.
"Who will be fined, his fuel entrepreneur, or his BBM businessman, we will decide a week, a maximum of two weeks," he said in Jakarta, Wednesday (9/26).
Pertamina some time ago complained of a shortage of palm oil supplies from producers to run the 20 percent Biodiesel Mixing Program on diesel fuel (B20). In its official statement, Pertamina said that currently they have 112 BBM terminals ready to mix palm oil with diesel.
But unfortunately, of that number, only 69 terminals have received palm oil supplies from employers. "All Pertamina installations are ready for B20 blending. However, B20 distribution depends on FAME's supply, but until now the supply has not been maximized," said Pertamina President Director Nicke Widyawati some time ago.
Darmin said the government through a supervisory team at the relevant agency ministry was looking for evidence that caused the supply problem. It will also see a purchase order for palm oil before it needs a fuel oil business entity.
After the inspection is complete and an error is found, the penalty will be immediately removed. "If not fined, it will be taken lightly. Must be heavy, because the fine is Rp. 6,000 per liter," he said.
