Jakarta, People on the slopes of Mount Merapi, Cangkringan Subdistrict, Sleman Regency, Yogyakarta, are ready to obey whatever instructions from the Center for Investigation and Development of Geological Disaster Technology (BPPTKG) related to the increase in Merapi activities, especially after incandescent lava.

Mount Merapi again experienced a lava avalanche on Sunday (12/16) afternoon around 6:55 p.m. But there was no roar that accompanied the Merapi lava dome.

"At present, community activities are still running normally. Because, with the status of Merapi, which is still at level two (alert), BPPTKG's recommendations regarding safe distance are still a three kilometer radius from the summit," said Heri.
According to him, as long as his side followed BPPTKG's direction there was nothing to worry about. But if BPPTKG increases the status of Mount Merapi to level three or standby, then the public must get ready.
"As long as the second level is still safe, if it is level three we are just getting ready while waiting for BPPTKG instructions," he said.
